What made you want to work for ITAC?

The opportunity to do something special in the Nashville market with the support of like-minded leadership. I was specifically drawn to ITAC’s emphasis on family/personal time and community service.

What are you most excited about/looking forward to in your new position?

There is a tremendous amount of potential in this market!  The next 3-5 years will be challenging and filled with successes and some disappointments; but, when we look back in 5 years, we will realize that we have accomplished something very special.  ITAC Nashville will become an essential fiber in the fabric of the Nashville employment market.

What’s one thing you want candidates and/or client companies to know about you?

I am driven to be the best, and I get great fulfilment out of helping people. Pair those together, and I can be a real difference-maker for you, candidates and clients alike.

What will your desk look like in six months?

It’s already a war zone, and I imagine it will continue to accumulate prospect information.  It’s kind of like one of those bulletin boards with the strings crisscrossing all over it in the crime movies!

Who’s your biggest role model?

My Dad. He has incredible instincts in regard to reading and managing people.  If I can follow in his footsteps, we are all in for some really big highs. And I’ve never met someone as positive as my Mom – she is the most supportive and unflinching person I know!

What’s your favorite quote or saying?

Too many to limit!

  • “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?” Matthew 7:3
  • “Don’t let ‘perfect’ be the enemy of ‘good.’”
  • “Less ‘I don’t think so’ and more ‘Let me find out.’”
  • “There’s never a wrong time to do the right thing; and there’s never a right time to do the wrong thing.”
  • Any “Anchorman” quote…

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

Several pieces come to mind, but this one always stands out: “If you were attending your funeral today, what would people say about you? And what would you want them to say about you?  Start living your life in a manner consistent with what you want them to say about you.”  ~ Paraphrased from Andy Stanley

What are three words that describe you?

Dad. Competitive. Optimistic.

What’s your favorite summer activity?

Finding a patio for lunch, happy hour or dinner – and lawn games!

What’s something most people would be surprised to learn about you?

I was a high school Quarterback – all 5’8” of me.

Where’s your favorite spot to hangout in Atlanta/Nashville?

Atlanta: 6 Feet Under rooftop in Midtown, Baraonda Italian restaurant by the Fox Theatre, Rumi’s Kitchen, Ormsby’s, Buckhead Church.

Nashville: I mostly enjoy spending time with all of our family up here!  We love our new neighborhood, as well. Hitting up Maniac’s for chicken tenders is becoming a Saturday tradition!

Anything you want to add about family, pets, hobbies or personal life?

My lovely and talented wife, Jamie, is a rock-star of a mom to our two children: Miles (3.5 years old) and Norah (7 months old).  Our kids are absolutely incredible!  And, since Jamie and I both attended Wake Forest University, we were obligated to get a dog and name him Deacon.  I am a sports fanatic and a music lover.
